Alex Kanevsky
Posted on October 1st, 2009 by Scott Allen
Alex Kanevsky is a painter/teacher from Lithuania and he now resides in the US. Little is found about him online and Alex wants to keep it that way, he prefers to let the paintings speak for themselves. The interviews (below) invite you in the mindset of the artist and reveal some insight for aspiring artists. All of his work is strong in my opinion, so checking out his site is highly recommended.

Your work is utterly beautiful.Love the paint and the spaces you create. Do you still teach ? are there any courses I can come on?

I have seen your work in San Francisco and now am revisiting it on line – it takes my breather away. The ethereal spaces, surface tension between planes, radiant colors, profound reality expressed so loosely – just incredible. Do you ever teach workshops? I am an artist in Bozeman Montana and would love to learn from you…Diana

Fechin comes to life! It’s like when I visited the art academy in lulbijana in the late 70′s..wow, what classical training a contemporary artist makes..
absolutely beautiful.
