Artwork of Kris Kuksi
Kris Kuksi has produced a body of work that showcases a wide range of talent in a variety of mediums; it possesses elements of brutality and beauty, utilizing classic styles in combination with current and socially conscious themes. The appeal of Kuksi’s work is the raw, honest quality with which he treats his subjects, which are delicate in nature and are commonly pushed to the recesses of society and the human mind. It effectively links the darkness that is contained within the human psyche with a tangible representation of the nightmares it brings, but maintains an allure that is memorable and haunting.

Fall of Rome
From his site:
“He treats morbidity with a sympathetic touch and symbolizes the paradox of the death of the individual by objective personification of death. There is a fear of this consciousness because it drops in upon us without mercy, and yet there is a need to appeal to it in order to provide a sense of security, however deluded that sense may be. Kuksi’s art warns us that this appeal is irrelevant, and that we should be slow to create a need for it. His themes also teach us that although death may pursue us arbitrarily, we should never neglect to mourn the tremendous loss of individual potential.”

Hi Ben,
These pieces are really beautiful. Very dark and fascinating. I love the new site, by the way.

Hey Brandi.
Kuksi’s work makes me more aware of all the possibly sinister little bits of plastic and metal that I typically ignore.
Thanks for the kind words.
